What we cover

Most marketing advice is written for companies with a team and a budget. We write for people who are doing the marketing, the shipping and the customer emails all from the same laptop. Every guide tries to answer three questions: what should I do first, what will it cost, and how will I know if it's working.

• Tool reviews and comparisons: which software is worth paying for at your stage, and which free plans are good enough.
• Work-from-home setup: desks, chairs, lighting and routines that make long days at home easier.

How we choose what to recommend

We recommend a tool when it solves a real problem for a small business at a fair price. We check current pricing and plan limits on each company's site before publishing, and we note the date we last checked, because software pricing changes often. When a free option is good enough, we say so, even if it earns us nothing.
